About this tool
You do not need a scanner or a special app. Take a photo of each page with your phone, and this tool evens out shadows, whitens the paper and darkens the ink, then puts all the pages into a single PDF. Nothing is uploaded, so ID cards, forms and letters stay on your device.
How to use it
- Select Take a photo on your phone, or choose photos from your gallery. Add one photo per page.
- Use the arrows to set the page order, and choose a scan filter. Clean scan works for most pages; Black and white gives the smallest file.
- Select Create PDF and download the scan.

Tips for best results
- Use flash only if the light is poor, because glare can spoil a page.

The filters work on the picture only and cannot bring back text that is out of focus. Retake a page if it is blurry, and keep the phone steady.

How do I get a sharper scan?
Place the page on a flat, plain surface in bright, even light, hold the phone straight above it and fill the frame with the page.
Does the Take a photo button work on a computer?
On a computer it opens a file chooser instead, so you can select photos you already have.
Does the tool straighten or crop the page?
Not automatically. If there is a lot of background, crop the photo in your gallery first and then add it. The filter improves contrast and lighting only.
Your files stay with you
This tool opens and changes your file inside your own browser. Your documents are not uploaded to a server. Keep a copy of your original file, and on a shared computer delete downloaded files when you are done.
