Online forms for jobs, exams and government services often ask for a photo or signature of a certain size, either in pixels or under a limit such as 50 KB or 100 KB. This tool resizes one or many pictures to an exact width and height or a percentage, and can keep lowering the quality until the file fits under your size limit. Everything runs in your browser, so your pictures are not uploaded.
How to use it
- Choose one or more images.
- Pick how to resize: by pixels or by percent. If the form has a size limit, type it under Maximum file size, for example 50.
- Select Resize, check the size shown for each picture, then save it or download all as a ZIP.

Good to know
Results are saved as JPG unless you choose PNG. Transparent areas become white in JPG. Enlarging a small picture makes it bigger but not sharper.

How do I get a photo under 50 KB?
Type 50 in Maximum file size and leave the dimensions empty. The tool lowers the quality step by step, and reduces the dimensions a little if needed, until the file is under the limit.
Will the picture be stretched?
Not if Keep proportions is ticked. If you enter both width and height, the picture is fitted inside that box without stretching. Untick it only when a form needs an exact width and height.
Which format should I choose?
JPG is the right choice for photos and is required by most forms. PNG has no size limit option and is better for graphics.
Why is my picture smaller than the size I typed?
If the file cannot fit under your KB limit at readable quality, the tool also reduces the dimensions a little until it fits.
Your files stay with you
This tool opens and changes your file inside your own browser. Your documents are not uploaded to a server. Keep a copy of your original file, and on a shared computer delete downloaded files when you are done.
