About this tool
This editor lets you add typed text to any page, place tick and cross marks, highlight parts of a page, insert today's date, place an image such as a signature or stamp, and cover unwanted content with a white box. Text in English, Urdu, Arabic and Hindi is supported. You see the page as you edit and nothing is uploaded, so it is suitable for forms and private documents.
How to use it
- Choose a PDF and go to the page you want to change.
- Pick a tool. With Add text, tap the page and type. Tick and Cross are placed with a tap. Highlight and White-out are drawn by dragging. Add image places a picture you choose.
- Drag items to move them, use the round handle to resize them, then select Save PDF.
When this is useful
- Fill in forms that are not fillable.
- Tick check boxes and add today's date.
- Highlight important lines for a reviewer.
- Cover a mistake and type the correction.
Tips for best results
- Zoom your browser out to see the whole page while you place items.
- Use the A- and A+ buttons to match the size of nearby text.
- Resize ticks with the round handle so they fit the box.
- Save once at the end. Until then you can move and delete items.
Good to know
Latin text uses a standard font and stays selectable. Urdu, Arabic and Hindi text is added as a picture. Added items are drawn on top of the page, so they do not change the text underneath.
Questions and answers
Can I type in Urdu or Hindi?
Yes. Urdu, Arabic and Hindi text is drawn with your device fonts and added as a picture. It looks right on the page, but it cannot be selected or searched afterwards.
How do I tick a check box on a form?
Choose Tick and tap the check box. Resize it with the round handle to match the box. Use Cross for boxes that need an X.
Can I add my signature?
Yes. Use Sign PDF to draw it with your finger, or photograph your signature on white paper and choose it with Add image. Then move and resize it on the line.
Can I change the text that is already in the PDF?
Not directly. You can cover it with White-out and type new text on top of it.
Your files stay with you
This tool opens and changes your file inside your own browser. Your documents are not uploaded to a server. Keep a copy of your original file, and on a shared computer delete downloaded files when you are done.
