How to Scan an ID Card (Front and Back) into One PDF
Many banks, job portals and visa forms ask for a copy of both sides of your CNIC, ID card, driving license or similar card, usually as a single PDF rather than two separate photos. Doing this with a scanner shop takes time, and sending two photos instead of one file is often rejected by the upload form.
Scan both sides into one PDF
- Open ID card scanner.
- Select Take photo under Front side, or choose an existing photo from your gallery.
- Do the same under Back side. This step is optional if your form only needs the front.
- Choose a scan filter. Clean scan works well for most cards.
- Select Create PDF and download id-card.pdf. It has one page per side you added.
Get a clear scan
- Place the card on a flat, plain surface, such as a table or a sheet of paper.
- Use bright, even light. A window during the day works well; avoid direct flash, which can create a glare on a laminated card.
- Hold the phone directly above the card so the edges are not stretched or tilted.
- Fill most of the frame with the card so the text stays sharp after scanning.
If the file is still too big
