About this tool
50 KB is the most common limit for a signature upload field, separate from your photo, on job portals and admission forms. This page opens Resize image with the target already set to 50 KB, ready for a photo or scan of your signature.
How to use it
- Choose a photo or scan of your signature, or drop it onto the box.
- The maximum file size is already set to 50 KB.
- Select Resize and download the result once it fits.
When this is useful
- Job portal application forms with a signature upload field.
- University and college admission forms.
- Any form that asks for a signature image under 50 KB.
Tips for best results
- No scanner needed — draw your signature directly with the Signature maker tool and download it as a PNG.
- If you are photographing a signature on paper, use good lighting and crop tightly around it first.
- Keep the background plain so the compression is spent on the signature itself, not on noise.
Good to know
At 50 KB a signature photo almost always stays crisp, since there is little detail to compress compared with a full photograph.
Your files stay with you
This tool opens and changes your image inside your own browser. It is never uploaded.

Questions and answers
Is drawing my signature with Signature maker accepted on forms?
Most online forms accept any clear image of your signature, drawn or scanned. If a form requires a wet-ink scan specifically, use a scanned photo instead.
What if my form asks for the signature in PNG, not JPG?
Choose PNG as the save format. Note that PNG does not shrink as reliably to a target size as JPG, so check the result still meets the limit.
Can I resize my signature and photo together?
Add them as separate uploads here, or do them one at a time — each image gets the same 50 KB target.
