How to Combine Several Photos Into One PDF

Sending five separate photos for an expense claim, an assignment or an application is clumsy, and many portals only accept one file. Combining them into a single PDF fixes both problems at once, and you can do it in a couple of minutes without installing anything.

Combine your photos step by step

  1. Open Image to PDF and choose every photo you want in the file. You can add JPG, PNG or phone photos, and there is no fixed limit on how many.
  2. Use the arrows to put them in the order you want them to appear. This matters more than it seems — a receipt out of order, or a photo upside down, is a common reason forms get sent back.
  3. Pick a page size. A4 or Letter suits documents you might print; "Same size as the image" keeps each photo at its own shape, which often looks better for photos that are not all the same orientation.
  4. Select Create PDF and download the file.

Keep the order right the first time

Before you start, lay your photos out on your phone's gallery in the order you want, or quickly rename them 1, 2, 3 in your file manager. It is much faster to get the order right before uploading than to rearrange six thumbnails afterwards.

When this is worth doing

  • Receipts and bills for an expense claim, combined into one file instead of six attachments.
  • Pages of handwritten notes or a school assignment, photographed and turned into one document.
  • Product photos for a simple catalog or listing.
  • Multiple pages of a form you filled out by hand and photographed.

If the photos are documents, consider Scan to PDF instead

If every photo is a page of a document rather than a general picture, Scan to PDF is built specifically for that: it is better at straightening pages, cleaning up lighting and producing a document that reads clearly, rather than treating each photo as a picture on a page.

Keep the file small enough to send

Several full-resolution phone photos can add up to a large PDF. If the result is too big for an email or an upload limit, use Compress PDF afterwards, or set Image quality to Medium before you create the file in the first place.

Quick answers

Is there a limit to how many photos I can combine?

There is no fixed limit, though a very large number of high-resolution photos uses more memory, so on an older phone it helps to add them in smaller batches.

Can I mix photos that are portrait and landscape?

Yes. Choose "Same size as the image" so each page keeps its own photo's shape, instead of forcing every page to one fixed size.

Are my photos uploaded anywhere?

No. The PDF is built inside your browser, so your photos never leave your phone or computer.

Try it now with Image to PDF. It is free and your photos are never uploaded.
